From the Market Manager
On behalf of the Market Committee, I’d like to thank Cindy Mullikin for her service as a Vendor Representative on our Market Committee. Cindy joined the Market Committee in January 2020 with the understanding that her appointment would be temporary until we held elections in April of 2020. You can guess how that worked out.
In the midst of the worldwide pandemic in which every small business was fighting for survival -- including her own -- Cindy put her business knowledge, experience at other markets, and leadership skills to work for the Market Committee, helping us figure out how to get the Market open, operate it safely, and keep it open. Over the 15 months of her 4-month (planned) tenure, juggling soccer games, homework, family life, running a business, and all the fun our friend COVID-19 could think up, Cindy’s dedication to improving our Market never flagged.
Cindy has never been one to draw attention to herself, so please allow me to do so shamelessly for her. Mully's Brewery will be back on May 15, or you can do yourself a favor and stop by Mully’s Brewery, 141 Schooner Ln, Ste 15, Prince Frederick. (You’ll want to check their FB page, Instagram, or webpage for hours before you do it, though.)
Cindy’s term ended on April 30. Matt Cox, you have some big shoes to fill.
