As much as we'd love to give 2020 no further thought AT ALL, we kind of have to so we can start planning for next season.
Over the next few weeks, the Market Committee will be looking at the Market Rules to see what needs clarifying based on the past season's experience. With that in mind, next season's rules may look a little different. Yes, we're going to have to go ahead and include some mask & social distancing stuff in there, but we're all hoping that we'll be able to take that out later. Honestly, we'd love to not need to put those signs up every market day, because that would mean we'd all moved past COVID-19. In the meantime, the signs and cones are all tucked in for some winter hibernation.
If you're wondering, though, here are some general timeframes to look forward to:
The 2021 season is tentatively scheduled to run April 3 - November 27, 2021
Applications for new vendors will be accepted starting late February (watch this page or our Facebook page for the specific date)
Everything else kinda hinges off of the rules update, domino-style. You may have noticed, for example, that a couple of our pages have disappeared, like the "Be A Vendor" page. We know all the vendors have a lot of backward planning to do, too, in order to be ready for an April 3 kickoff, so we'll do our best to get the rules update hammered out as soon as possible.
Keep warm, folks, and keep looking ahead! Brighter days are on the way.
