It's our market's long-time tradition (3 years sure seems like a long time) to observe King Kamehameha Day, June 11, with the wearing of Hawaiian shirts or just Hawaiian-style shirts or with just general good vibes. This year we're observing it June 8, 9AM-2PM, at our usual spot, 209 Washington Ave. in La Plata, but our spirits are on a tropical island.
Put on da slippahs, grab da 'ohana, and come holo holo and talk story. You and the fam are sure to find something tasty for breakfast, lunch, or your weekend lu'au...or you may just find some nice chitchat and enjoy some ukulele music. No worries.
