Cottage Food Updates


If you're thinking about going starting a cottage food business, you need to know that there's a lot of homework involved besides baking, and the guidelines change from time to time. The Maryland Department of Health's Office of Food Protection coordinates and oversees all of that -- if you haven't already, you should get familiar with the resources on their webpage...and there are many. From what ingredients you can and can't use to what size font should be on your label, it's all spelled out for you.
