The 8th of September was proclaimed International Literacy Day by UNESCO in 1966 to remind the international community of the importance of literacy for individuals, communities and societies. If you've ever used a recipe -- or for that matter, if you're reading this now -- you already know the value of literacy. Come by the Market tomorrow (9/8, 9AM-2PM) and thank the Charles County Public Library for doing their part to promote literacy!
While you're there, stop by and see
Ohana Snow Shaved Ice (so many flavors!)
US Navy (what's the Navy lifestyle like?)
Rootbound Farms (how many jars of kimchi fit in that trailer?)
Sweet Street Donuts (am I wrong if I don't share my donuts?)
Calvert Crabs & Seafood (yes, I want fries with that)
Freshly Made 4U (and a smoothie, thanks)
C.H. Bowling Produce - divison of Fox Run Farm (what comes after peaches?)
Bowling Greenhouse at Jameson Farm (ooh! pumpkins already?)
SNAP and FMNP beneficiaries: don't forget to stop by the Charles County Food Connection tent to get your free #marylandmarketmoney!
