It's National Farmers Market Week, so we're going to be talking more than normal about farmers markets in general and ours in particular.
If you're a market regular...
1) Thanks! 💚
2) You already know how much work every vendor does for every market day.
3) You should know that your support helps our market thrive and grow!
But you should also know that farmers markets don't just happen. Every market day is like a live performance with cast, crew, plot twists, and so much behind-the-scenes preparation and coordination. Seasons, growing schedules, government regulations, licensing, packaging, loading and transporting, unloading and setting up, market rules...and occasionally there's a bit with a dog.
We could talk about all the great things that come out of farmers markets all day, but since we have a week, we'll pace ourselves. Today's graphic includes connection, possibly the best thing that comes out of a group project like this. This Wednesday's group project involves this seasoned cast and, just possibly, some new and recurring characters. Let's see how this episode plays out behind the Charles County Courthouse, 08/07/2024, 9AM-2PM.
